The University of Ferrara participates with the Department of Engineering and, in particular, with the Electronics for Telecommunications Research Laboratory (ETLab), which has over thirty years of research experience in the field of III-V transistor modeling and characterization. ETLab researchers will work at device level, where advanced nonlinear models for microwave GaN devices will be developed introducing new formulations that will guarantee suitable accuracy from high-linear operation up to saturated output power operation.
Principal Investigator: Prof. Antonio Raffo
The University of Roma Tor Vergata participates with the Department of Electronic Engineering and, in particular, with the Microwave and Millimeter-wave Electronic Group (MiMEG), which is specialized in the development and implementation of design methodologies for microwave and millimeter wave circuits. MiMEG researchers will work at circuit level, where novel design methodologies will be investigated accounting for the peculiarity of the application, e.g., for the impact of a direct connection between a digital and a microwave circuit at 10 GHz.
Associated Investigator: Prof. Rocco Giofrè
